Dr. Kevin Stringer

Kevin D. Stringer, Ph.D. is an adjunct faculty member at the Joint Special Operations University in Tampa, Florida, and a Fellow at the Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations at West Point. A former diplomat and international banker, he has taught international affairs courses at graduate and executive education institutions in Switzerland, Estonia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and the Ukraine. A 1987 distinguished graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, he earned a Ph.D. from the University of Zurich and an M.A. from Boston University. Dr. Stringer has chaired an international panel for academics and city policy-makers focused on the emergence of city diplomacy as a force in international relations at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael, and published several articles on honorary consuls, an important linkage between state and sub-state entities.
